“Email harvesting and welcome messages” scenario
The best solution to get started with Convead is to run a scenario to collect visitors’ email addresses in exchange for a discount. The more addresses Convead knows, the more trigger emails it will send to visitors, and the more effective other scenarios will be.
The first scenario consists of a widget with an offer to encourage the visitor to enter their email address in exchange for a gift. An email is sent to those who filled out and sent the widget.

By default, the widget looks like this. You can edit it to your taste. If you cannot give a discount, you can offer something else useful or interesting: a promotional price, a catalog, ideas for using your products, a checklist, a list of documents, etc.
It is very important to adjust the conditions of the widget display. If you do not change the script settings, the widget will be displayed to all visitors as they land on the site. You can change these terms.
For example, you can show the widget only to those visitors whose email addresses are not yet known:
Here you can configure which domains and pages to display the widget on. Maybe you don’t want to show the discount widget on the checkout pages. Then create a key page “Checkout” and exclude it from display by clicking “Show on all pages except key pages”.
You can set the widget to show only when the visitor is about to leave the site (moves the cursor to the top of the screen). To do this, check the box in step 3.
If you want the widget to close automatically, specify the time in seconds in the lower field. If you leave 0 there, the widget can be closed only by clicking on the cross.
If you want each visitor to see the widget only once, in step 4 in the bottom field specify 1. If you leave this field empty, the widget will be displayed an unlimited number of times.
In step 5, you can choose whether to show the widget on computers and mobile devices.
In step 6 (see below), you can configure Convead to send a double opt-in message when the visitors sends a widget. In this case, the visitor will fill in and send the widget, then receive a double opt-in email. If they confirm their subscription, they will receive an email with a coupon for the gift oor other benefit promised in the widget.
After the visitor has sent the widget, the email with the promised discount or gift should be sent.
The standard email in this scenario contains a promo code for a discount of 500 rubles, which we promised in the widget.
This is what the email looks like. It is sent immediately after the visitor has sent the widget to the specified email address.
Edit this email. Do not forget to replace the data in the signature with your own. Check the widget and the email. Are they okay? Then you can run! Let the email collection begin!
